Having done the sound editing for Dermot Bolger’s Walking the Road I have made a composition of some of the photographs we took of the play along to the opening track.

The track was created to represent the moment of poet Francis Ledwidge’s death. Sounds of rain and thunder morph into that of fire and bombs. It ends with a bang as the poet died by a German shell during a rainstorm.

It took place in the Cavan Theatre Festival starred Jamie O’Neill and Clare Monnelly, directed by Aaron Monaghan and produced by Siobhan Cassidy.
