Payed a visit to 3D Printing Dublin in Rathmines. Using their fantastic printers that use a sort of plastic to make 3D objects. By layering the plastic over and over they eventually make up the final object from a computer aided design document. This medium is becoming a favourite for designers, architects and is even available at the student level with simple, free, design tools such as Sketchup.

Wow – that is impressive! What kind of printers were these made on, if you know? I’ve been building a 3D Printer for my senior year Independent Study but these kind of prints would take a lot of expertise, time, and, of course, plastic. Large amounts of plastic. 🙂
